Early morning fog on El Toro
October Through April can offer great climbing conditions at El Potrero Chico. Highs in the 70's-90's (Farenheit) lows in the 30's-60's. During winter the days usually start with a morning fog on El Toro (The Bull) which dissipates by 10am to clear skies. The months of June through September are considered summer months and make climbing a bit extreme due to 90's-100+ temperatures. During the summer season you can climb in the mornings and evenings.

Weather at El Potrero Chico is very unpredictable due to the mountain region of the Sierra Madre. You can go from days of wearing t-shirts and shorts to down jackets and fleece pants.
