La Huasteca canyon located just outside of Santa Catarina a small section of Monterrey. The canyon poseses white limestone with full on technical climbing. Cuped pockets, small crimps, horizonal cracks, and dicey foot holds. The limestone will amaze you. The approach to the crag is quick, just drive up and belay outside of your vehicle. You will either like it or hate it. From Hidalgo head east on 53 for about 12 miles. Take Saltillo 40 till you get to a toll booth pay $9.00 U.S or $96.00 pesos. Continue on, the road will ver right onto Hwy 40. When you get onto Hwy 40 loop back, this will take you into Monterrey-Santa Catarina. When you see the Monument (far right above photo) the road will split, stay right of the Monument.	From the Monument continue on for 2 miles till you see the white building on the right (photo above) turn right onto Ignacio Zaragoza st. From here to the 7-eleven store is 1 mile.	7-Eleven store on the left (photo above) at the 7-Eleven you can buy drinks and snacks. When you get to the intersection turn left, then right, and straight to La Huasteca. If you would like a guide for the day you can contact us.
