"Homero's Ranch"


WHERE TO STAY-AIPORT TAXI-EXCURSIONS

The ranch house is the meeting grounds for climbers, from all parts of the world. This is their home from short to extended stays at El Potrero Chico. "If you want culture Homero's is the place" The ranch house is "only" 5 minutes from the entrance of El Potrero Chico. The morning views of El Toro will mesmerize you. The North Face of El Toro towers above the ranch making this massive rock a phenominal view. The ranch is home to the famous New Years party as well as the Thanksgiving dinner that takes place every year at the Santa Graciela ranch.
These two events are not to be missed!!

Homero's ranch house has been the staging and birthing grounds for most of the first ascents of El Potrero Chico. This was their home during many months of establishing routes and days of relaxation. Many of Mexico's top climbers come here to stay which is always a plus due to their warm hospitality and humor. Top climbers from all over the world come to Homero's

We provide a personalized taxi service from and to the Airport.

For rest days we also provide excursions to the Hot Springs which includes transportation, entry fee, and a meal. On Sundays we have Horseback riding for $5.00/Hour

Homero's is the site of the annual Mexican National Bouldering Competition held in December.

CAMPING

Prices will be in effect from December 1st-06 till April 30-07

$4.00 per person per day. Camping fees include hot showers, bathrooms, cooking facilities, and parking. Dishes are not provided, please bring your dishes and cookware.


We offer a camping discount if you stay thirty consecutive days or longer. Full payment of $4.00 per person per day is accepted upon arrival. At the end of the 30th day, we will reimburse each person, so your daily rate will only be $3.00 a day per person.

Are avaliable at Homero's Ranch House $12.00.


ROOMS

Rooms range from $10.00-$20.00 a day per person.
We provide three rooms in the house.

Room 1-Small room 1-2 people hall bathroom $25.00 a day
Room 2-Med room 1-2 people hall bathroom $25.00 a day
For rooms 1 & 2 additional persons pay $10.00 per day.

Room 3-Large room 1-2 people-Private bathroom and shower- $30.00, for an additional person $10.00 extra per day.

HOMERO'S RANCH FILLS UP QUICKLY. RESERVATIONS FOR CAMPING SPACES AND FOR ROOMS ARE STRONGLY SUGGESTED. Homeros Reservations We also have a large cabana (thatched house) which rents for $8.00 per-person per night. It holds from 4-6 people. The cabana has its own cooking facilities, It rents by the week.


The Pavillion located in back of the Quinta has a training wall for those days you don't go into the Potrero.

The Quinta expects respect from all climbers for each other's belongings and for maintaining a quiet atmosphere after 10 p.m. at night.

NEW CABANA RENTAL


A new Cabana located in the Canyon (Park) by the spires can accommodate 2-5 persons. You can drive up to the cabana and park your vehicle. The cabana has a kitchen, Bathroom, Shower (Hot Water), Fire Place, and is secure.

The cabana offers a birds eye view of El Potrero Chico. Climbing is a 5-10 min walk to the climbing areas.

COST

1-2 Persons $35.00 per day
For each additional person $10 per day up to 5 persons New Cabana Reservations

Cafe' La Quinta


During the peak months of December through April Homero's Cafe' restaurant will be open to climbers for Breakfast everyday.

A full Mexican Breakfast is served every morning from 7:00-10:00 with free unlimited coffee to get yourself ready for a day's climb.

Every New Years Eve Homero prepares a Grande Fiesta at La Quinta Graciela ranch house. This is the place to be, well known for it's food, music, and cold beer.
